Founded by Tiahn Fairfull, a seasoned hairdresser with over a decade of experience, Palomino Hair Salon has quickly established itself as a go-to destination for Lismore residents seeking modern, approachable, and sustainable hair care.
Tiahn Fairfull, a local mum of two, who previously ran a highly successful salon on the Gold Coast, decided to move to the Northern Rivers with her husband and two young daughters. It was here that she purchased the long-standing and highly regarded Lismore hair salon Lazuli & Co Hair & Beauty Salon and founded Palomino, a salon built on the foundation of her deep passion for creating a supportive, judgement-free space where every guest can feel truly relaxed and confident.
"I wanted to bring something special to Lismore, not just another salon, but a place where people feel valued and understood," says Fairfull. "At Palomino, it’s not just about great hair, it’s about building trust and ensuring that everyone who comes in feels like they can express themselves without hesitation."
Palomino Hair Salon offers a broad range of services, from blondes, colour correction, and creative colour to tape hair extensions and expert cuts for short hair and curls. Tiahn herself specialises in these areas, using her expertise to deliver stunning results tailored to each client’s unique style.
In just one year, Palomino has built its own reputation, known for its warm and inclusive atmosphere, where clients of all genders and backgrounds are welcomed by friendly staff. Tiahn is proud of her team of highly skilled stylists who each bring their own niche expertise, ensuring the salon covers every aspect of modern hair care.
Looking ahead, Tiahn is focused on expanding Palomino’s team and providing growth opportunities for young stylists in the region, something she sees as an opportunity rather than a sacrifice of living regionally.
"Hair styling is an ever-evolving industry, and I want to be able to support emerging stylists to learn industry-leading skills and techniques,” says Fairfull. “Not only does that motivate young people to stay in the Northern Rivers, but it gives residents the benefit of knowing they can access premium services in our region."
